Websites for Vegan Info + News

The internet is full of resourceful places to find vegan information, news updates, communities, and more. Many of these websites that I've listed have been a huge help for me throughout my personal journey and I believe they can help you too. From finding vegan restaurants in your area, to vegan traveling, theres a website with loads of information available. From the 8 websites I've chosen, I tried to make sure that all of the bases were covered for what tools are accessible. These are not the only websites out there, some of my favorites that I found to be the most user friendly! I will update this list as I use more.


Happy Cow

Happy Cow is a public service that assists people in finding vegan, plant-based, and healthy food. Whether you're traveling to a new area or looking for new local restaurants in your hometown; you will find Happy Cow to be a life-savor! This company is vegan-run, with vegan perspectives, and staffed by vegans and vegetarians. The app that can be downloaded also has a large online community that includes members from around the world who are passionate about the vegan lifestyle as a healthy, compassionate, and environmentally sustainable way of living. This is a great way to see what others have ordered, there reviews, and to leave your own for future people seeking great options!


Nutrition Facts

Nutrition facts is a science-based nonprofit organization founded by Michael Greger, M.D. FACLM. This website provides free updates on the latest in nutrition research with small clips and captions offered in multiple languages, blogs, and infographics. Also a non-commercial public service health charity. About 2,000 videos are available online with new videos and blogs are uploaded every day. Including fact-based information through social media on the benefits of a whole food, plant-based diet for wellness, disease prevention, healthy weight management, and longevity.


Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine

The Physicians Committee is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, headquartered in Washington, DC. Targeting efforts are geared towards changing the way doctors treat chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, obesity, and cancer. By putting prevention over pills, doctors are empowering their patients to take control of their own health. The Physicians Committee is dedicated to saving and improving human and animal lives through plant-based diets and ethical and effective scientific research.



One Green Planet

One Green Planet is an online guide to making conscious and compassionate choices that help people, animals and the planet. The website has tons of information regarding recipes, vegan news, earth news, petitions, and food products.


Plant Based News

Plant Based News is a mission led, multi-award-winning resource creating awareness about ethical consumerism, sustainability and the plant-based lifestyle. Not a false narrative – but information that empowers people to make better choices.


Black Vegans Rock

Black Vegans Rock is a website founded by Aph Ko after she wrote the first list that spotlighted 100 black vegans for Striving with Systems. Aph Ko decided to research and compile a list of influential Black vegans who were doing incredible work to dismantle the stereotype that veganism is a "white person's" thing.


Veg News

Veg News is an award-winning vegan magazine and website packed with recipes, travel, news, food, reviews, health/wellness and so much more. Veg News has been the most useful overall to keep up to date with the latest news and information coming out daily.
