Crispy Cauliflower Bites

Cauliflower Is Nutrient Dense

Cauliflower is a cruciferous vegetable that provides over 75% of Vitamin C with 1 cup of serving alone! Vitamin C helps support immunity and is a nutrient crucial for DNA to repair. Also necessary for the production of collagen and serotonin. Cauliflower also has 20% of Vitamin K per cup which is required for bone formation. Cauliflower also provides smaller amounts of other essential nutrients, including B vitamins, phosphorus, manganese, magnesium, and potassium.


Cauliflower is an Anti-Inflammatory

Cauliflower also contains bioactive compounds that is known to reduce inflammation. Cruciferous veggies contain natural substances that protect the bends and branches of blood vessels; areas most prone to inflammation, making it a potent protector of your heart.


Cruciferous Vegetables Help Fight Leading Causes of Death

Cauliflower is a member of the cruciferous vegetable family, including brussels sprouts, kale, broccoli, cabbage, collard greens, and bok choy. They help reduce the risk of both heart disease and cancer, the two leading causes of death in the US.


The Recipe


What you'll need

1 tsp peanut butter

2 tsp liquid aminos

1 tsp hot sauce

1 tsp raw agave

1 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp of turmeric

1 tsp of garlic powder

1/2 tsp of pepper

1 cup panko crumbs

Step by Step Instructions

1.To begin, you will need 1 tsp of peanut butter, 2 tsp of liquid aminos, 1 tsp of hot sauce, 1 tsp of raw agave. Mix these ingredients together over a stove top on low/medium to until it is fully melted and stir

2.Cut the cauliflower into small pieces and place in a bowl

3.Pour the sauce into the bowl and mix to coat the florets for 1 minute

4.Make coating with 1 tsp of paprika, 1/2 tsp of turmeric, 1 tsp of garlic powder, 1/2 tsp of pepper, 1 cup of panko crumbs mixed together into a bowl

5.Once those have been added, pour half the ingredients into the bowl with the florets and mix together to coat

6.Continue this process with the remaining ingredients

7.Place cauliflower on parchment paper and bake at 400 for about 20 minutes and flip them half way through to cook both sides (Air frying would also be a great for this recipe)

8.(Bonus) Drizzle hot sauce and green onion after finished for a buffalo style flavor.

You're going to love this recipe! Its a perfect appetizer to make for family gatherings, sports events, or a side dish for dinner. A perfect balance of crunch from the coating and softness from the cauliflower. The flavors are savory, sweet, and spicy all in one.
