Homemade Tomato Sauce Recipe

Prep Time: 10 Minutes | Cook Time: 20 Minutes | Total Time: 30 Minutes


1 onion

half bulb garlic (to taste)

8-10 (roma preferred)

1/2 cup tomato paste

salt, pepper, rosemary spice

olive oil

basil leaves (garnish)


1. Slice up your onion, peel/crush garlic, and add to pot with 3 tbsp olive oil on medium high heat.

2. Heat and stir garlic and onions, add seasoning and cook until caramelized.

3.Chop tomatoes and add tomatoes, season, and stir.

4. Cook down your tomatoes until soft and liquid is slightly reduced (about 10-15 min).

5. Transfer the sauce to blender and place your pot back on the heat.

6. Add olive oil, tomato paste, and season.

7. Blend your sauce on medium high for a few seconds.

8. Take your pot off the heat, wait for a few seconds, and add blended sauce to tomato paste.

9. Stir in your sauce with tomato paste and you’re done!
