Julia's Vegetarian Restaurant is located on the Monterey Peninsula in Pacific Grove, California. Their food quality standards include freshness and local ingredients while committing to the community. They also have live music nights during the week and during happy hour, with every drink ordered they give you a vegan tamale! I haven't experienced the live music and free tamales yet but what a great opportunity right?

The portion sizes are definitely worth the price and the atmosphere is like no other so enjoy either inside or outside while dining! Minutes away from the beach so sitting outside is great for the coastal breeze. They also have a bathroom design that is beyond worth checking out so wash your hands or do what you have to do before eating! You will be surprised and feel like you're in another world for a minute. Now for the food....
Entrees
Yellow Coconut Curry
Julia's Signature Curry with Roasted Rainbow Carrots, Kabocha Squash, Yams, Butternut Squash, Cauliflower, Zucchini, and Brown Rice in a Sweet Yellow Coconut Curry Sauce. Finished with Fresh Fruit. This was a debatably my favorite dish yet! But its really hard to choose. The curry is so flavorful and warm. It tastes amazing mixed with the rice and vegetables. Price: $22 Vegan and Gluten Free
Garlic Roasted Vegetables
Garlic Roasted Vegetables with Braised Spinach and Brown Rice. Served with a Side of Our Tahini or White Sauce. My friend and I tried this one together, we both enjoyed this one! We chose tahini for our side sauce and it was one of my favorite sauces I have tried anywhere. The garlic roasted vegetables were also cooked nicely and flavorful! Garlic lovers will appreciate this one. Price: $19.00 Vegan and Gluten Free

Faux Orange Chicken
Breaded Cauliflower Florets, Bell Peppers, Onions, Zucchini, and Mushrooms, Tossed in a Sweet Orange Glaze, Served Over Brown Rice. This was my first entree I tried and instantly won me over to return for more. The orange sauce is great and the cauliflower florets are authentic tasting to what orange chicken typically is like. The vegetables selected with this dish are also something to be noted. I appreciated the freshness of the overall dish. Price: $23 Vegan

Appetizers
Fried Mushrooms Breaded Baby Blue Oyster with Vegan Garlic Aioli
They're known for their mushrooms and I understand why! This was delicious and the aioli sauce was a standout for me. I also liked the grilled lemon that was given to squeeze on top. A great appetizer to start with! $11 for a small $16 for large.

Drinks
House Brewed Kombuchas
Reishi Honeybush, Lemon Elderberry, Holiday Chai, and Lavender. My favorites were Lavender and Holiday Chai, but all of them were top notch! Coming from a big kombucha lover, you can really tell the difference from an in-house brewed kombucha on tap versus bottled and more widely produced. The flight of four kombuchas costs $12 and are non-alcoholic aside from the .5 or less amount that all kombuchas contain after fermentation.

Atmosphere
I loved the atmosphere both inside and outside of Julia's! The art, plants, and lights add so much to the overall dining experience. Especially being so close to the beach, you can really feel the ocean breeze if you choose to dine outside. The inside is beautiful though so you can't go wrong either way! The whole place is truly one surprise after another. Its a perfect restaurant to go to before or after a beach day for tasty food and a pleasant restaurant to hangout at.
