Orange Glazed Tempeh With Veggies and Udon Noodles

Updated: Jun 13

Prep Time: 10 Minutes | Cook Time: 25 Minutes | Total Time: 35 Minutes

Tempeh has become one of my favorite foods to cook with. If you're not familiar, tempeh is a traditional Indonesian food made from fermented soybeans. Skip to the recipe

Tempeh is made by a natural culturing and controlled fermentation process that binds soybeans into a cake form. The fermentation process and retention of the whole bean gives a higher content of protein, dietary fiber, and vitamins. The texture is also more firm then tofu which i've found to be great for different recipes including Orange Glazed Tempeh with Veggies and Udon Noodles. This recipe will have you forgetting that orange chicken exists.

What you'll need:

1 Pack tempeh

orange glaze sauce

1 pack udon noodles

5 garlic cloves

2 tbsp olive oil

1/4 cup of broccoli

1/4 cup of carrots

1/4 cup of onion

1/4 cup of green peas

1/2 bell pepper

Step by step Instructions:

1.Add olive oil and minced garlic to sauce pan

2.Add tempeh and cook on medium until brown, add orange sauce for 5 to 10 minutes

3.Place tempeh to the side and add olive oil+veggies to the sauce pan

4.Cook veggies+udon noodles on medium, add orange sauce for 10 minutes

5.Add tempeh back to the sauce pan and mix in with veggies for 5 minutes

6.Plate it and enjoy!
