Pizza Flora is a pizza house located on 1st Street in Downtown, San Jose featuring both vegan and vegetarian pizza. Make sure to ask for the vegan or vegetarian options available according to what you're looking for! Although I have only been once, what I've tried is top notch vegan pizza in San Jose.
I ordered the Pesto Porcini Slice which comes with porcini mushrooms sautéed in garlic, house butter, and koji walnut pesto. So delicious and filling! I really enjoyed the pesto and garlic combination too! I'm a pesto lover so this was the slice I gravitated to most. Price: $5.75
They also have bottled beverages and kombuchas available from one of my favorite brands. Brew Dr Kombucha is brewed and bottled in Portland, Oregon. We all decided to pick out different flavors, I chose wild berry ginger and its everything I wanted! The flavor profiles include raspberry, blackberry, ginger, and green tea. Blackberry and ginger are my go-to and I always gravitate to purple so this one called my name! These can be found for a cheaper price in grocery stores but for the convenience and experience, it was worth it. Price: $4.95
One in particular that I have my eye on is the Bbq Jack Slice. They were out of this pizza at the time I went so I plan on arriving earlier in the future. The bbq jack slice comes with roasted bbq jackfruit, smoked vegan ham, red onion, red bell pepper, de-seeded jalapeño, vegan mozzarella & velvety bbq garlic sauce. How amazing does that sound right?
One more that I'm looking forward to eating is the Mushroom Forest Slice. This comes with shiitake, porcini & cremini mushrooms, fresh torn basil, garlic cream sauce and a blend of vegan mozzarella and gorgonzola.
Ok... if I had to pick one more, its the Arrugulove Slice.This has rich white sauce, vegan mozzarella, aged balsamic white cheddar, castelveltrano olives, red onion, cherry tomatoes, and baby arugula. Still anticipating the next time I go back to try another slice because this one was extremely tasty!
