Feb 61 min readVegan Pizza with Tempeh CrumblesUpdated: Jun 8Prep Time: 30 Minutes | Cook Time: 30 Minutes | Total Time: 1 HourPizza Ingredientsgarlic and herb dough 1/4 cup tomato sauce1/4 cup basil1 cup vegan mozzarella1/2 cup onion, chopped1/2 cup mushroom, chopped1/2 cup green onion, choppedflour (for dough)olive oil (for pizza tray)Tempeh Sausage Crumble Ingredients1 package of tempeh1.5 cup water2 tablespoon soy sauce1 teaspoon paprika1 teaspoon onion powder1 teaspoon garlic powder1 teaspoon oregano1/2 teaspoon sage1/2 teaspoon thyme1/4 teaspoon black pepperA pinch or two of chili flakes1 tablespoon oilInstructions1.Place dough on lightly coated flour board for 30 minutes.2In a medium pot, add 1.5 cups of water to simmer on medium heat.3.Break tempeh into small pieces by hand and place in medium pot.4.Add all seasonings and soy sauce to pot and let simmer until the tempeh absorbs all liquids.5.Stir in olive oil and add more seasonings if needed.6.Flatten dough and create a 10-12 inch round circle. Place on pizza tray that is lightly coated with olive oil.7.Place dough in oven at 475 F for 10 minutes.8.Wash and chop all veggies and place in bowl.9.Remove pizza dough from oven and let cool for a few minutes.10.Add pizza sauce, vegan mozzarella, tempeh sausage crumbles, and veggies to pizza dough.11.Place pizza back in oven for another 10-12 minutes depending on preference!Watch this video to see this recipe in action!
