Vegan Pizza with Tempeh Crumbles

Pizza Ingredients

garlic and herb dough

1/4 cup tomato sauce

1/4 cup basil

1 cup vegan mozzarella

1/2 cup onion, chopped

1/2 cup mushroom, chopped

1/2 cup green onion, chopped

flour (for dough)

olive oil (for pizza tray)

Tempeh Sausage Crumble Ingredients

1 package of tempeh

1.5 cup water

2 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon oregano

1/2 teaspoon sage

1/2 teaspoon thyme

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

A pinch or two of chili flakes

1 tablespoon oil


1.Place dough on lightly coated flour board for 30 minutes.

2In a medium pot, add 1.5 cups of water to simmer on medium heat.

3.Break tempeh into small pieces by hand and place in medium pot.

4.Add all seasonings and soy sauce to pot and let simmer until the tempeh absorbs all liquids.

5.Stir in olive oil and add more seasonings if needed.

6.Flatten dough and create a 10-12 inch round circle. Place on pizza tray that is lightly coated with olive oil.

7.Place dough in oven at 475 F for 10 minutes.

8.Wash and chop all veggies and place in bowl.

9.Remove pizza dough from oven and let cool for a few minutes.

10.Add pizza sauce, vegan mozzarella, tempeh sausage crumbles, and veggies to pizza dough.

11.Place pizza back in oven for another 10-12 minutes depending on preference!
